Looking for a skilled CompEx certified E & I Inspector for Oman available for immediate deputation
Job Description:
- 1. Preparation and issue of Ex check list Certificate, and Ex-Register for all the ex-rated equipment on Station.
- 2. Responsible for IEC 60079-14 & 17 installation and inspection compliance of the entire Electrical Installation under the guidance of the Ex Superintendent/Manager.
- 3. Responsible for inspection and verification of the Ex register and Ex Certificates against Project BN/BM documentation.
- 4. Provide Ex installation surveillance during installation of Ex certified equipment ensuring Ex equipment is installed
- 5. Follow the Project Ex integrity Assurance plan verifying compliance with IEC60079
- 6. Check and verify Electrical Construction Ex Inspection and Test Records (EITRs) are completed correctly and that any faults are recorded and fixed as per the IEC60079 requirement.
- 7. Review and assure that equipment complies with the requirements of IEC 60079-17, ATEX, NEC, and the relevant international standards, directives, and regulations.
- 8. Inspectors are experts in both electrical and Instrument Ex-inspection and inspectors are certified in CompEx EX01 to EX04
- 9. Produce hazardous area electrical equipment inspection reports along with non-conformance reports as required.
- 10. Ensure all hazardous area electrical equipment inspection is carried out to project specifications, standards, and regulations.
- 11. Ensure non-conformance is identified, tracked, and close out before acceptance of the
- work.
- 12. Verification and confirmation of EX equipment with EX Certificate, Area Class Zones, EX Techniques, Gas Group, Temperature Class, Ingress protection, special condition requirement, and environmental protection.
- 13. Installation & Inspection of various cable glands, junction boxes, lighting, Motors, and instrument termination in hazardous areas.
- 14. Certified IEC IECEx / ATEX compliance after an inspection is carried out.
Required Qualification:
- 1. Diploma in electrical & electronic engineering degree/diploma.
- 2. Educational certificates must be attested.
- 3. Must have valid Ex Qualification such as CompEx or IEC Ex COPC and significant experience.
- 4. Have a minimum of 5 – 10 years of work experiences Oil and Gas field.
- 5. Experience in installation, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting for all types of Field instrumentation including Temperature, Flow, Level, and Pressure Transmitters, Analyzers, condition monitoring sensors for rotating equipment, etc.
- 6. Experienced in the interpretation of all engineering documents including Instrumentation Datasheets, P&IDs, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Loop Drawings, etc.
- 7. Experience in ATEX certification products.
- 8. Experience in generating quality inspection reports.
- 9. Excellent communication skills.
Salary:
- OMR 800 to 1000 per month
